The rapid closure of a thread questioning the first closure, also without explanation, seems really wrong to me. It seems designed to signal people that intense criticism of NW policies is not permitted. (Another marathon thread last month, "Why are NW International FAs so Bad?", was the best and funniest here in months; it attracted dozens of participants and many great stories, but it too was closed and pulled without comment.)
I think if the moderator takes the unusual step of closing and moving a thread, an explicit rationale should be provided. I do not believe the current operating policy is creating a positive information environment.
Agreed. I am the OP of the above mentioned thread, and therefore I was watching it fairly closely, and I can say that I was not happy it closed. I brought up what I thought was a real issue and did not appreciate being "shut down." This is not what FlyerTalk is for me.
