$6000 out of pocket for a business class ticket?! - I bet that represents maybe 1% of tickets like this. If someone can afford to blow 6 grand on a business ticket out of pocket, they can probably afford the $10k it would take to get in 1st! And if they can afford that - and are willing to pay it - they are probably not business folk, and even more likely not going to be on FT asking how to save money!

Either way, I'd go Continental. I love their business/first class.
