We did a day stay at the Lima Sheraton yesterday and found it to be an overall positive stay. I booked the rate ($80) at the very last minute - booked at 9 am for check-in at 3 pm that day.
The front desk had some problems accessig my reservation and my printed confirmation (which I had hurriedly grabbed from the hotel in Cusco) didn't have the rate on it but they trusted my word "because I was a Platinum".
The assigned room was on the 18th (towers) floor. Nice bedding, very modern clean aesthetic to the whole room.
We decided to head out to Chinatown to grab some dim sum (after a few days in Cusco, ANYTHING but Peruvian cuisine sounded good) and the hotel got us a private car who dropped us and then came back to pick us up an hour later. He also drove us back to the airport that night. As we were tired of haggling with taxi drivers, this was fine.
We were able to kill several hours in the casino that was small but contained a good variety of table games and slot machines (US dollar only).
The executive lounge was small but elegant and had an evening appetizer buffet laid out. Champagne was complimentary but we were charged for a beer and bottled water. (I particularly liked the truffles that were in two large glass jars!)
Our daily rate also included two free pisco sours, free breakfast (which I am assuming would have been in the executive lounge for a platinum - not sure where it would be for a standard SPG guest), and free internet access.
