Actually, upgrading on short flights into CVG has become impossible. DL has 3 mainline jets daily from LEX, which were already pretty full usually, and was also flying 6 Comair connections. Now we have only the 3 flights. Coach seats can be hard to find.

Same thing is true of SDF. Fortunately, they're very short flights.

Space was also tight, but not 100% full, on the CVG-DFW flight we took on the 16th. F was full. We were flying standby, so I don't know if we'd have had a chance to upgrade if we'd actually booked that flight.

OTOH, the SAN-CVG flight we often take was the emptiest I've ever seen it. More than half the BizE seats were empty. I have seen empty seats on that flight before, but rarely more than a handful. And I don't know if this was just a blip of a slow Tuesday, or if it was because of the problem of Comair connections.

I would be interested to see what other people's perceptions are.
