The price depends on whether you want to continue Gold or Platinum status and on how close to requalifying you were. You can't use this to buy a level you don't already have, and you can't use it if you used last year's similar offer. Despite an erroneous story in
USA Today, the topic of a longish thread in the AA forum, there is no similar offer for Executive Platinum.
