Yes, it was a pre-paid 1-night stay, so I paid for the night knowing all well that I would check-out at 930pm of the same day that I checked-in. I will call the hotel tomorrow to make sure that it was an early departure charge because I don't see what else the charge could be. My guess is that the early departure fee is triggered automatically by the computer if you are checked out on a date before your reservation's listed check-out date.
