Please give your opinion of these resorts and which is better suited for families. Also, October is the end of the season - will it be too rainy?

Thanks.
Hello,

Tough call, mind you I am sure a lot of people would like to be in your position.

Fregate has got a great reputation for families, especially with young kids, they have a couple of villas I think which aren't cliff hangers which would be better. I dont know how they deal with the sleeping arrangements as there is only one bedroom, but with the age of your children, not a problem I think. I personnaly did not like the style of the resort, rooms a bit too glitzy for me and the Balinese style that was all the rage from Majorca to... well...Bali, in the nineties does not do it for me outside of Bali. Also these acrylic jacuzzi are ghastly. But the villas are very comfortable and the island beautiful.

On the other hand, I have not been to North Island, but I am yet to hear one bad thing about it (mind you at these rates, they would better get it right). I was recently at a luxury hotel convention and all the top agents ( a fussy bunch) were raving about it. They have a second bedroom for kids and they have revamped their website with an emphasis on families in the pics. I have tried to gain first hand information from members of the forum but to date nothing. Still, I think that the uniqueness of the design would make it my recommendation. There is nothing that comes close in island resorts.

Regards
