Delta Air Lines to Begin Nonstop Service Between Washington, D.C. and Nassau

Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL - news) will offer nonstop service between Washington, D.C., (Reagan National) and Nassau, Bahamas, starting July 7, 2001. The new flights will be the only nonstop service between the two destinations.

The Delta service will operate each Saturday using a B-737-800 aircraft. The flight will depart Washington each Saturday at 11:45 a.m., arriving in Nassau at 2:45 p.m. The return will depart Nassau at 4:00 p.m., arriving in Washington at 7:00 p.m.

Delta and Delta Connection serve more U.S. destinations from Nassau than any other carrier, with service from Atlanta, Boston, Cincinnati, New York (LaGuardia), and Orlando. The addition of nonstop service to Washington will mark Delta's sixth U.S. gateway to Nassau.
