Europe, open jaw, with stopover reward for 50,000 miles. The laugh is the LON-Ireland leg via EWR. Mileage runners' dream! CO partner KLM doesn't fly into SNN.

I'm going revenue (work + MR ), GF on miles.
Sorry, I'll bite. This doesn't make much sense. You got a 50000 mile standard award ticket routed EWR-LGW;LHR-EWR-SNN;DUB-EWR? Ummm...

First, it's crazy that that was allowed, if it was. Just because you can't fly KL LON-SNN doesn't mean you should be able to route that via another continent. You must have got an inexperienced agent, or else there is a bug in the system, or both. (It being New Year's Day, my money is on the first.)

Second, you actually want that? Take Ryanair or Easyjet or Aer Lingus or bmi or even BA LON-SNN instead of doing a MR on an award ticket! (If you yourself want to do a MR on a revenue ticket with that routing, that's another matter. But why do an unnecessary transatlantic trip in coach on an award? You don't earn any miles on it... or rather, your GF doesn't.)

Or am I missing something?
