So, I am one of the lucky ones who was able to purchase tickets to see the USA play in the FIFA World Cup in Germany during summer 2006. I plan on leaving June 9th from Boston (BOS), flying into Frankfurt (FRA), as this seems to be the cheapest for a destination in Germany. I plan to leave Frankfurt June 19th, returning to Boston the same day/ As of today, 1/1/2006, IcelandAir has R/T fair for $880, and I am curious if anyone has any opinions on IcelandAir, as I have never flown them before. Also if anyone else is heading over to Germany for the World Cup if there is another option for a cheaper destination in the country. If you have been to Germany and can recommend any hostels/hotels in the areas of Kaiserslautern and Gelsenkirchen please let me know as I am continuing to look for places to stay in these parts of the country.
