Now I could be wrong, but didn't they also drop the requirement of taking a flight to get credit, and then waiting to reconcile the flight credit with the e-rewards benefit, when they lowered the miles awarded? I seem to recall folks complaining that the previous (albeit more rewarding) set-up was a pain.
