I wont go into ALL the Details, but I was trying to use up my miles on a different ST member. They couldnt get me out of NYC to Europe finally found a Biz seat out of ORD and routed me JFK-ATL-CVG-ORD My flight on AZ out of ORD was for 3:30pm yet I had to leave JFK at the Crack of Dawn,

Finally got it to a JFK-ORD non-stop leaving at 10am but still a 3+ hr layover at ORD.

I grabbed and put it on hold! Today I saw that CO had a seat in Coach to ORD rom EWR at 12:45pm much better and switched to that. Then I went thru where AZ flew to from MXP and called back and we found a Biz Seat out of BOS, so then we found a CO seat in Coach to BOS.

So in the end Ill fly EWR-BOS on CO that leaves at 2:30pm with a 2 hr layover in BOS and gets in the same time to MXP as if I flew out of JFK some 7 hrs before. I was restricted with what Flights I can take since I have an AZ flight out of MXP at 10:10am.

the point is Not only Not to take "Nothing Available" as an answer, but to do your Homework and be able to offer up some other Possibilties that they might not have thought of or that the computer spit out.

You arent RESTRICTED to Only CO flights but ALL the members of ST (SkyTeam) and some that arent members such as Virgin. You can mix any # of different Carriers to do so . If it worked time wise and there were flights available, I could have done CO to BOS, DL to CDG, AF to MXP, and AZ to my final Destination.
