Boo. Sometimes flights don't open bang on time if they're editing them at the airport I think (sometimes, they never open for OLCI if it's badly oversold, I had this earlier in the year).
Yes, makes sense. I would imagine that the flight could be really quite busy - the Denver flight always seems to be this time of year: maybe they were doing some re-organisation before opening OLCI... (there seem to regularly be quite a few op-ups on this route - so some people should have a great surprise tomorrow...)

Thank you, it will be a LONG day (we land at Burbank at 9.30pm - couldn't get a better connection at such short notice), but it will be a relief to get to the family - it is very frustrating being so far away when something bad happens.
At such a difficult time, it is quite good to have something to look forward to (skiing afterwards). Getting away from things, some fresh air and exercise has to be a good thing
