My east coast cable modem speeds have dropped quite a bit lately (ie by 67%). It appears my modem aint that compatable with the numerous enhancements of Comcast. I bought a new top-rated Motorola Surfboard SB5120 modem from Circuit City for about $80 minus $40 in rebates. Installed it in 10 minutes and d/l speed went from 2 mbs to over 7 mbs. They sell used on ebay for more than that. Offer ends 12/31/05.
