My upgrade to F (O) for FRA-SFO on Jan 4th was confirmed on Dec 30th. I had also been waitlisted for several days (3 pax on waiting list for O). The bookings on Jan 3rd look very similar to Jan 4th.

I would presume LH would upgrade pax willing to use miles or vouchers instead of having to op-up others without collecting the miles/vouchers ?
