Can someone here help? maybe

We were on DFW/LAX pm direct flight three days ago, last flight out of DFW.
Both of us ticketed in F/ QUAUP fare,same PNR,confirmed in First about 5 weeks before flight with seat assignment number 1A,B.

Check in about 2 almost before flight, boarding pass in 1A,B
Went to the lounge and relax etc........
At boarding, First to board the plane, both of our BP set off an alarm and the GA ask us to wait there, couple minutes later GA came back and now economy seat 19 A and 19 E (not even E plus) We told the GA that we were in F fare, she told us that it's WHQ " we can't do anything, it's from WHQ, you have to call them directly"

We asked for service director and was told that there's none at that time then we decided to call 1K desk, they were surprise how we got downgraded from F to E- as it still showing F on their screen but without seat number (according to 1K desk)

We waited until after group 1,2,3,4 boarded the same GA told us "you need to board the plane now or I have to take both of you off the list" ???????

Anyways, we boarded the plane since we need to be in LA for the next morning and last flight of the day. When we got on the plane they were 2 FA's sat on both of our seat 1A,B chattering with the onboard crew, didn't know what to say- both upset. Our flight last 3 hours but felt like 10 hours, paid First sat in coach and not seated together. Can I get a partial refund from UA?
