I'm going to be enrolled in Delta's Companion Pass in a couple weeks and have questions. First, I understand all flights taken are on S3 standby status, so how does that work when flying internationally on a DL partner? Two, is access to any of the CRC's allowed when listed on, or between, international flights (or any other flight for that matter)? Three, is there any sort of limit on the number of flights (domestic or international) that are allowed under this program?
My last question is a little more general about Delta. As far as Delta's scale of internal stanby codes (S1 to S5), I know it depends on the flight specifics, but what actually is the likelihood of not making a flight on S3 standby? I know Delta employees also get an allotment of S1 passes, but does anyone else get them? What about S2 passes? (I'm just trying to figure out how many possible passes are out there in front of my future S3 to possibly push me off a flight!
