Places In Alabama to eat
There are some really great restaurants throughout the south. Here are a few of them in Alabama:
Dales Steak House-FloreHince-One of the original steak houses that "Dales" steak sauce comes from. The tenderloin is out of this world. If you like Dales sauce, this is a place not to miss.
Conestoga steak house-Dothan-A quaint little steak house that has wonderful steaks. Nothing much in the way of atmosphere really but the steaks are wonderful
Dreamland Ribs-Tuscaloosa-if you like Pork ribs, this place is one you should not miss. The place is nothing to look at but who cares because this places is what Ribs are all about. For years all they served was Ribs, White Bread and sauce. Today you can get extras like baked beans, slaw, ect. Another do not miss
Highland Bar & Grill-Birmingham-A high end establishment with a wonderful local chef who is known nationally as one of the best in the south. Cant go wrong with this choice.
Big Spring Hamburgers-Huntsville-A little diner type of place on Governors drive that is always packed around lunch because they have such great hamburgers. If you like a burger with onions, mustard or one with tomato & lettuce & mayo, this is your place. A long time establishment in Huntsville
Leonardo's Italian-Vestavia Hills-Very good italian food and fresh yeast rolls to die for! If you like italian and and are in the hoover/vestavia hills area, you need to try Leonardos.
Kaffeeklatsch Coffee House-Huntsville-Wonderful coffee and a great little pub at night. Coffee is roasted locally and comes in 50-100 pound burlap bags. At night the places has lots of locals and people from all over the world. You might even catch some outstanding blues, jazz or folk music there. Eclectic little place in the heart of a very beautiful downtown.
Las Pinatas-Hoover-Mexican restaurant started by a mexican immgrant who couldnt find the food like he ate back home.Festive, authentic atmosphere.
