I have a different opinion than nostresshere on the package operators. I have had great experiences with Funjet, Apple, Vacation Express etc. on packages as well as Air Only deals. The real deals are not available all the time and not sure who all flies out of your area, but I think at least Funjet and Apple do. I know that Funjet updates their "Hot Deals" section on Friday nights, so check there regularly, and Apple is kind of sporadic, sometimes they don't have any new "Sizzlin Specials" for a couple of weeks and then all of the sudden they will have a couple in one week. Check your local Sunday Paper Travel Section, for what Tour Operators operate out of your area, and then look up their web sites for last minute or limited availability deals. I flew Funjet out of Atlanta to Las Vegas one time, for $350, that included RT Air, 4 nights hotel and 4 days rental car. I had to drive to Atlanta, but the airfare alone out of NC was over $700RT at the time.
