During college I rode Amtrak between Boston and Newark all the time, but I haven't taken Amtrak in a long time.

I'll be on the train on January 9 going from Orlando to Tampa. Anybody have any idea how close to the schedule the train will be? It looks like it originates in the northeast.

Also, since I don't have an Amtrak rewards account, is there anything else that I can designate the points towards (i.e. airlines, hotels, charities, etc.)?
