Given PhlyingRPh's comments about the Pearl's charm and service vs. the Marriott and (presumably) the Sheraton, would you guys say that the Pearl is a good choice in both cities? I prefer charm to a huge room.
sadiqhassan, can you give a little more color on your ranking of the three hotels?
Sheraton
- I like the rooms a lot, quite nice and classy. I've also see the most of it, I make at least 5 or 6 visits each trip to Karachi. it's upkeep is also rather good. The restaurants and facilities are also excellent. I loved the service.
Marriott
- Another good hotel though I prefer the sheraton's rooms.
Pearl Continental
- Still a fine hotes. The restaurants are very good, the chinese restaurant in particular is amazing, but I prefer the other 2 because they have better rooms / facilities and service.
I found the PC service to be competent, but for me the Sheraton service was more "charming"
While the location of all 3 is good, normally the convience tips the scales for me. Whenever someone is coming to Karachi for a wedding, they usually stay in the hotel having the wedding etc
Cheers
