Coming up on my first trip to Pakistan. I'll be in both Karachi (three nights) and Islamabad (one night) at the beginning of February, on business. I have tended to stay away from the Western-identified hotels in the last few years, so although it will pain me to forego Marriott points, I might feel more comfortable staying at the Pearl Continental. Given PhlyingRPh's comments about the Pearl's charm and service vs. the Marriott and (presumably) the Sheraton, would you guys say that the Pearl is a good choice in both cities? I prefer charm to a huge room.
