We have a trip to DEL Feb. 8 – 16th on super cheap fares and VIP upgrades. Given a prior post regarding an impromptu downgrading by the GA (turned into an F upgrade) and the local staff seemingly not being AA employees per se, I am somewhat concerned about the departure from DEL.
Does anyone have a feel for how an EXP on a VIP w/ wife is treated in the event that there is a long delay requiring hotel accommodations at both ends ? I cant say that I have ever received anything but great treatment from AA as an EXP I have some concerns about how the local DEL staff behaves as well as the potential for getting tossed back into the Y group for purposes of hotel rooms etc.
AA has hired a large number of full time (yes, full time) employees at DEL. I suspect that any problems with their staff will be sorted out long before you depart. I would not have concerns about non-AA employees giving subpar service, as I suspect that the one non-AA person we saw was providing temporary oversight.
