You could also go to REP via KUL or SIN, both of which can be accessed with JL or CX.

From KUL you can go to REP on Air Asia (but beware, they have a 15 kg baggage allowance, which is not very much). This probably costs around 150 USD per person r/t, depending on your dates.

From SIN you can fly on JetStarAsia, which is a pretty decent airline. And they have a 20 kg baggage allowance. This should cost you roughly 150 USD per person r/t as well.


My advice would be to figure out which city (BKK, SIN or KUL) most interests you and head there. Going through Vietnam is also an option on CX, since they now operate flights to SGN on their own metal. I have no idea what the prices on SGN-REP-SGN (Vietnam Airlines) would be.
