As my wife and I finish packing our bags for Cairo today, we're already thinking ahead to next year's holiday trip. On our list is Angkor Wat in Cambodia. What's the best way to get there (or how close can we get) using AA miles? Tools to work with: 400k AA miles, 8 VIPS, 100k HP miles, 500k MR points, and 200k SPG points. We prefer to fly business class across the Pacific, either through purchasing coach and upgrading w/ VIPs, or using lots of miles for a business award. Having never been to Asia, we probably will try to add a stopover somewhere at a fantastically cool city (e.g., Hong Kong, Tokyo). Total trip time is probably limited to 9-10 days, though.
