I seem to remember they will let you transfer points to an arbitrary account, with the proper paperwork. Is this what you are referring to?
Yes, BigLar, that is what I'm referring to. The Website says 'spouse,' but CS reps. say anybody. Conditions: The receiver must have an award res. & only the # of points (rounded to nearest higher thousand) by which s/he is short may be transferred--no more nor less. Of course, after the points arrive, s/he is free to cancel that res. & use the points any way desired .
