It included FC on several flights. As an SE, you wouldn't be upgraded otherwise on award tickets.
Is it worth it? You have to decide that. My perspective is a little different in that that we seem to be accumulating more miles than we have time to use; although I tend to be cheap & stingy, rulebusters & cabin upgrades are starting to look more attractive.
