Yeah, it's called being tagged by TSA (did s/he have a OW ticket? If so, then s/he may have gotten SSSS'ed or something). When they don't have enough volunteers, they go in the order of who checked in last and work to the front of the list. He must have been at the top of the list for getting bumped. Since he received compensation, you can't blame WN.
