done mileage rules: segments or endpoints?

Mileage and status accrued on a DONE ticket is based on the length of the actual segments flown, not end-to-end distances, right? For example I am flying SYD-MEL-NRT-LAX-BOS at the end of a DONE next month, with less than 24 hours in MEL and NRT so it is technically a single flight (and is charged only at the SYD-BOS mileage for my companion's aadvantage oneworld ticket on the same itinerary); the miles and Q-points I will get will be equal to SYD-MEL + SYD-NRT + NRT-LAX + LAX-BOS, right?
