Welcome to FT! Did you speak with the General Manager at the hotel? Did you contact Starwood per the sticky at the top of the forum so that they can open a file?

If they admitted fault then they need to take care of you e.g., pay for your night's stay. Make sure you have all of the pertinent information and report back to us what happens.
