This was originally mentioned here quite sometime ago. However, I think it's worth repeating. I have been buying tickets on Delta.com by going through Mypoints.com. This way I also earn 2 points on Mypoints per $1 spent on Delta. You still get all your SkyMiles including the online booking bonus. Therefore, in effect you get another small discount on your tickets. Hope this helps.
