Well, yes, quite belated. The OP's trip was in October so it looks a bit like you were trying to take a free kick (against QF) with this post.
I fly DJ regularly from SYD to MEL & BNE and like the service. However I would not fly SYD-PER with them or on a QF 737 because it's just too long to be in cramped economy seating. I always go for QF's A330 flights to PER. They are so much more comfortable and quieter.
