dmendlow, the best example I can think of is the one happywanderer refers to; row 21 AB or FG on all but a handful of the the 767-300ERs. If you were ever to sit there on an 11-hour longhaul flight, you'ld know exactly what I mean by "secret seats".
These seats probably have 12 inches of extra pitch, the seats in front of them cannot recline, they are two together so there is no middle seat, and there is no middle section of seats next to them so they have a smaller, clearer movie screen one row in front of them. If they made them 1/2 an inch wider and brought you an appetizer you could call it Business Elite. The only downside is that they do have restrooms next to them.
Another example, also on many 767-300ERs, is the last two rows on the FG side. These seats have increased pitch and extendable footrests. They must be there for crew rest, but oftentimes you can get them if you ask at the gate.
I've never seen such seats identified on the MD-11, but I sure would like to know if there are any.
