Had the same experience with "E" in CGN yesterday. Politely asked about the ability to take an earlier flight as I was travelling only with hand-luggage. Didnīt expect anything, but the lady at the lounge just said: "What is E?" As I presented my boarding pass together with my PremEx card from UA, she finally said "It must have sth to do with UA...." - and re-booked me to the earlier flight, after double-checking with the flight manager.
