I think DL needs a new level -- but it needs to be above PM. As a PM, I really haven't seen my benefits improved over when I was a GM. I'm never able to get a confirmed upgrade prior to day of departure. I went from GM to PM with over 50 segment upgrades to spare, so the unlimited upgrades don't help me. Priority baggage handling on domestic flights is iffy at best. And, before the most recent changes, both PM and GM got SWU's. So, basically, no benefit except for CRC access.

I think DL very much needs to have a tier that recognizes their best customers. Something where we can get the level of service I get as an EP on AA, and a 1K on UA. A special desk where agents have the authority to waive change fees and add-collects -- and do so in 90%+ of the cases. A desk where teh agents can look at load factors, and decide they'll waive a 21 day advance. Or let you change your *outbound* flight to the day before if there are seats w/o charging you to upgrade the tickets to full Y26.

A status level where they will simply put you in int'l business class if the seat is available -- because they want to do the right thing by you. A status level where you hear "Yes, I think we can do that for you" more than "Sorry, but I'm not allowed to do that".

Believe it or not -- I get those things at AA and UA, but not at DL...
