On Shuttle pax didn't get the can either. The beancounters have figured that we save about $3 mil a year by not giving out the can. As stated earlier TED flt are stocked for upto 5 legs before getting a new galley. So by not given out the cans the plane has a faster turn around since the empty cans are kept there is less trash.

UA policy for serving drinks on mainline is to Open Ask Pour. (open can, ask pax if they would like the whole can, pour and serve. Many pax never finish the first serving w/ the can on mainline flts. Yes that 1 open can of pepsi will serve about 3 pax.

The FA was wrong for lecturing the pax on the ice in the OJ, I grew up not using ice in most drinks so I will ask pax if they would like ice. A big pet pevee of FA's is when the pax doesn't tell them how they would like their choice.
FA " may I offer you something to drink?"
Pax " I'd like coffee"
FA "How to you take it?"
Pax "black"
coffee is served and cart is moving
Pax "can I have some milk and an equal"

Now some of this is based on where a person is from. For example to most FA's/pax from the west coast coffee regular means that you don't want decaf yet if you're from the east coast coffee regular comes with cream and sugar.
