If you don't want to do all that back and forth, there's a sit-down restaurant in the Hilton, but I've never been there.
I ate at the ORD Hilton one time when I was stranded at O'Hare. It's the best food that I've had on ORD proper, but I found it dull compared to some of the other places that have been recommended.
