Looking to book a Honeymoon / one-year anniversary getaway for mid-May of 2006, I am looking for something superior to what the AA/UA international F/J products offer. VS seems to be consistently #1 in terms of overall experience.

I investigated some options and the following seems to be the most cost-effective. I am wondering if some of the experts could take a quick look at this and let me know if my logic makes sense within the VS rules - as an AA/US/UA flyer, the VS rules are very "foreign" to me, pun intended.

* Convert 80,000 AMEX MR miles to VS Miles
* Purchase one Upper Class award on VS for 80,000 miles

Does that work or are there any "gotchas" that I am missing?
