Harry & David billed my card correctly, but I bought a $22.95 item plus shipping. Maybe it was the $0 amount that raised a red flag.

I also visited the store yesterday to use my $20 gift card and get my free truffles. Ended up spending $25 above & beyond the gift card value, and I will probably visit the store again. (Nice place!) So in this case, the generous teaser offers have probably won them a new customer. 2 weeks ago, I didn't even know what H&D was, let alone that they had a store 5 miles from my house.
