They are looking to fill a defined time period - maybe as much as 90 seconds, probably less. The facts are not relevant here - the story that they will tell is the story that will sell, and it is already written. They are looking for visuals and a stand-up to go with it.

That was about as filling as cotton candy for dinner. You hit this one on the nose. What a waste of airtime. No offence to the MRer. PS what, no mention of FT? I wonder how many viewer's said to themselves "I can take a nice shower at the Four Season's" for a lot less hassle
