1st-air.net may strand customers shortly before departure

1st-air.net received favorable publicity for the last few years as a seller of business class discount seats. The success seems to have gone to its head, and now customers may get very different treatment.

This company purports to sell cheap business class tickets. If a reservation becomes more expensive than the travel agency would like to pay, it may not warn customers. You may think your ticket is in the mail, and 2-3 days before departure you may find your flight has been canceled! We found out the hard way, when one Friday evening we got an email message that our reservations had been canceled for the day we needed to fly. They said we should instead fly a day later (which was impossible). All that after warmly reassuring us on the phone that they take care of their customers and we should not worry! Then we had to spend the entire weekend desperately calling airlines for fares and finding no seats! We finally had to cancel the trip altogether.
