Certainly BA will watch what competitors do closely, but I don't think our management will increase the Cabin Baggage Weight Limit - presently 9kg upper limit in Club / First (total cabin bag allowance 18kg) and 6kg in economy. You see, Flybe telling pax the cabin bags can be 10kg will invariably mean 16-18kg getting on board!!!

BA has always advocated safety as paramount with regards to cabin baggage and a climbdown after all these years would be an admission of defeat!!!
