I flew ATL-JNB earlier this month on South African in First. They had personal TVs in place, but basically only three movies (and mostly mediocre ones at that) to last the 15 hour flight.

Sounds like Delta has some competition at the low end of the scale. I agree with the sentiment that direct TV like Jet Blue offers would be the ideal ticket.
