The 777 coach in-seat video system is terrible. Delta only shows 5 movies on a 9 hour flight and the same ones coming back from Europe. They have 3 channels and 2 cycles which means you have to wait 5 hours to see the start of a movie if you miss it. A better way is to have 12 channels and only one 2.5 hour cycle, so you have the complete choice every 2.5 hours. If it is too expensive to buy new movies why not show 4 star movies from the past 10 years? In addition, they start the entertainment program too long after takeoff and then end up shutting it off right before a movie ends before landing. If Delta is going to spend the money on an entertainment system, why not do it right?
