To follow-up on BamaVol's recommendation...

I was a little over 1,000 MQM short of 125K for year. Not knowing what 2006 may bring, the 10K MQM they were promising for that threshhold might be useful. I decided on doing a small mileage run. I knew my wife might not like me coming home for a weekend only to take off again so I decided to make it a weekend away for the two of us. We found flights to BNA for only $115, a hotel with points, and a great time. We are already planning our weekends away next year for when DL has great weekend saver rates or other sales.

The jump from base skymiles member to Silver is gigantic. I went out of my way to make that milestone in 1997. If you never fly next year, it won't make a difference. If you do fly, you will start thanking yourself for that mileage run.
