Had Year end dinner at Ginja yesterday - wierd setup. Wasn't in the nicest part of town - right beside a liquer store (manned by a armed guard with a German Sheppard). The restaurant was "hidden" away, the sign was barely noticeable, and you had to walk down this tunnel that can barely fit two people.
Overall the food was good (nothing stellar), service was a bit slow - and the place was packed. The menu is a set menu - you can chose between 2,3,4 or 5 courses and are priced accordingly. It was ok.
There's a new restaurant that just opened four weeks ago by the same owners of the famous Bahkura restaurant . It's called Haiku - It's a chic chinese restaurant, located write next to Bahkura It has been awarded the Johnnie Walker's Best New Restaurant in South Africa. I haven't checked it out yet, but will do in the new year, after I return from holidays..
