I disagree completely!

I do this often, and have ALWAYS received the points and stay credit!

How did the hotel even know you weren't staying in the room?

Whenever points didn't post, I just send a point discrepancy report and fax them the folio if they request it, never had an issue at all!

Yes, you'll have to stay inorder to qualify for the points. Even if all of the 3 member stay for the night, you will only recive points for one night (or one room) hope that helps...
