ATLANTA, Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL - news) today reported traffic results for the month of January. System traffic increased 4.8 percent on a 5.9 percent increase in capacity. Delta's system load factor was 61.7 percent, a decrease of 0.6 points from the same period last year. Domestic traffic in January increased 2.0 percent on a capacity increase of 2.8 percent. International traffic increased 15.3 percent on an 18.3 percent increase in capacity. Delta boarded 8,479,918 (a 1.96% increase over Jan. 2000) passengers during the month of January.
