AW, glad to see you finally activated with Beyond! For those who still want a phone, there's a great promotion on now where you get a free used Motorola 120 with the purchase of an 80 minute $10 card (plus $7 shipping). I use this same model and absolutely love it, it works great and fits very well in my hand, unlike those d**n nokias!

One heads up to anyone considering buying a phone from BW - they will no longer be activating TDMA phones (which call Canada at the same 10 cent/minute local rate) after December 31. From January 1 they will begin selling prepaid GSM service which may or may not have different rates for calls to Canada. TDMA service, which still works fine as far as calling quality goes, is expected to be reduced or shut down by network provider Cingular at the end of 2007. Hence the move by BW to GSM.

With respect to buying things online in the US using a Canadian credit card, I've had good luck using the following method:
