you had me thinking about that there for a moment, but doesn't the planet rotate from west to east, or counter clockwise? That's why the sun rises in the East and sets in the West since the sun is essentially a fixed point in the sky?

or maybe it's just too late here on the west coast, or is it too early? i don't know??
